The thing about me is, I can’t not care. Despite how inappropriate for me to care, I will always care. So sorry for trying so hard to cheer you up when I know it annoys you more than put a smile in your face. Sorry for hopelessly trying to be funny when I know all of what I want to say sounds lame. Sorry for trying too hard because I can’t not let you just feel that way without me doing anything.

I hope you forgive me, even if I know I should not have asked for forgiveness, anyway.
